Why teach critical thinking?
Today's curricula assume that our children will consume information, process it, and apply it as directed. However, there is very little that teaches our children just HOW to process that information.
Students who are taught HOW to learn rather than being drilled and filled with seemingly disconnected facts and figures are perfectly capable of piecing together information to deduce the correct answers.
Our children need to be equipped to challenge what they hear and see, to analyze evidence, and to do their own detective work, thereby making their own decisions and thinking for themselves.
My goal is to help you help your child learn HOW to think - instead of just WHAT to think. |

Who IS a critical thinker?
Critical thinkers identify and evaluate evidence to solve problems - instead of guessing, or relying on memorized solutions. Our materials help children to become analytical, perceptive, and critical when presented with new content material. This not only helps them to understand dry content and instruction in textbooks, it also helps them descriminate new ideas presented to them in their everyday life.
